If we get something wrong
Tell us and we will fix it. On a subject where a wrong deadline can cost someone a year of coverage, a correction is not an embarrassment to be managed — it is the point.
What we do
- Verify it against the primary source — the regulation, the agency, the dataset. Not against another article.
- Fix it everywhere, not just on the page you found it on. Facts that appear on multiple pages come from one shared file, so a correction propagates in one change.
- Say so. If the error was material — a wrong deadline, a wrong rule, a wrong figure — we note the correction and its date on the page rather than quietly editing it.
- Update the review date so you can see it has been checked.
What counts as material
Anything that could change a decision: a deadline, an eligibility rule, a cost figure, whether a product is legal in your state. Typos and clarity edits we simply fix.
Common questions
How do I report an error?
Email hello@cobrascout.com, or raise it on the call. Include the page and what you believe is wrong — a link to the primary source helps but is not required.
Will you say you were wrong?
On anything material, yes — we note the correction and the date on the page. Quietly editing a factual error is how a site loses the right to be trusted.
How quickly are corrections made?
Anything affecting a deadline or an eligibility rule is treated as urgent. Everything else is handled in the normal review cycle.
What if the error cost me something?
Tell us that explicitly. It changes how we handle it and how fast.
Talk it through with a licensed agent
Which option is right depends on your state, your income and which doctors you need to keep. A licensed agent can walk through it with you in about eight minutes.
Free to call, no obligation, and we never ask you for payment. CobraScout is paid by the agency that answers, not by you. TTY 711.
